Marjorie Taylor Greene “would consider” being Donald Trump’s 2024 running mate
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told conservative influencers Diamond and Silk that she would consider being Donald Trump’s running mate in the 2024 election.
“Listen, I hear a rumor,” Diamond said on their Chit Chat Live show on Lindell TV, “How do you feel about being his running mate?”
She was referring to when Robert Draper of The New York Times Magazine told The Daily Beast’s The New Abnormal podcast that the idea of Greene being Trump’s running mate has been “discussed since February of this year, and it’s been discussed repeatedly.”

Draper said that Greene is well-known for her fundraising talents, her extreme rhetoric that matches Trump’s, and her longstanding loyalty to Trump himself, making her a solid choice from Trump’s point of view. He had a falling out with his running mate from the 2016 and 2020 elections – former Vice President Mike Pence – after Pence refused to overturn the results of the 2020 election so that Trump could remain in the White House.
“Well, if that is something that comes to play I’ll take it very seriously,” Greene responded. “That would be something I would consider.”
“You know, my number one focus is saving America, and that’s- Any way I can do that, I am all in to do it.”

The clip was shared by the liberal “Patriot Takes” account on Twitter. Their followers, who are mostly left-of-center, mocked the idea of a Trump-Greene 2024 ticket. One person joked about the January 6 Capitol Insurrection, where Trump supporters marched to the Capitol and broke in, chanting “hang Mike Pence” and erecting a makeshift noose in front of the Capitol building. The insurrectionists were angry that Pence was not overturning the results of the election so that Trump could remain president.
Trump allegedly told White House staff that Pence “deserves” to have people chanting for his death. Trump told ABC’s Jonathan Karl that it was “common sense” for the insurrectionists to call for Pence’s death.
Image all the bad decisions you have to make to end up telling Diamond and Silk that you want to be a running mate with the guy who tried to kill his last running mate.

I’ll vote against MTG faster than I did against Sarah Palin, which was blazingly fast.

Greene is known as one of the most anti-LGBTQ members of Congress, despite the vibrant LGBTQ community in her district.
